A chiropractic practice sees a patient many times over a course of care, which makes it a volume business with a plan attached. The note has to be finished between patients, the care plan has to track visits used against visits authorised, and the front desk has to check somebody in, take a payment and rebook them without a queue forming. Everything else on a vendor's feature list is secondary to those three, and they are all timeable in a demo.
Systems chiropractic offices commonly shortlist, and what to time or ask for in each
Not a ranking. Siftvo publishes no score of its own and no vendor pays to be named here. The order is alphabetical and the line after each name is the thing to make that vendor show you in a demo, scored on your own sheet.
- ChiroTouch: chiropractic-specific and publishes plan tiers: time a routine adjustment note on the device your associate will use
- Jane: multi-discipline clinic software with published pricing: ask to see the last-authorised-visit report, which is the weaker half here
- Platinum System: long-standing in chiropractic: score the front desk check-in, payment and rebook as one timed flow
- zHealth: chiropractic-specific with membership billing: ask what happens when a care plan runs out mid-course
Note speed on your commonest visit
Ask the vendor to document a routine adjustment visit for an established patient and time it. Then ask for a new patient examination and time that. In an office seeing forty patients a day, thirty seconds a note is twenty minutes of your day, every day. Use the same two visit types at every demo so the timings compare, and put both on the sheet as scored rows rather than impressions.
Care plans, authorisations and what is left
How the product tracks a plan of care: visits authorised, visits used, what is left, and what happens when a plan runs out mid-course. Ask to see the report that tells the front desk which patients are on their last authorised visit this week. Practices lose money quietly here, and a product that surfaces it without somebody running a query is doing real work for you.
The front desk and the payment
Check-in on a kiosk or a tablet, a payment taken including a plan payment or a membership, and a rebook before the patient leaves, all in one flow. Watch the demo for how many screens that takes. A chiropractic front desk at five o'clock is the busiest surface in the practice and the product either handles it or your staff work around it.
Questions people ask about best chiropractic software
Is chiropractic-specific software necessary?
Usually, because the note templates and the care plan tracking are most of the value and a general system has neither out of the box. Score a general product on the same rows if you want the comparison, and let the timings decide.
What about cash plans and memberships?
If a meaningful share of your revenue is cash or membership rather than insurance, weight that block heavily. It is handled well by some products and barely at all by others.
Do you rank chiropractic software?
No. No ranking, no vendor score, no paid placement anywhere on this site. The comparison sheet gives you your own score from your own weighting.
