Machines, payment and what happens at two in the morning
Whether the system controls the machines or only takes payment, which readers and machine makes it supports, and what an out-of-order machine does to a customer mid-cycle. Ask what refunds look like when nobody is on site, and how you see it happened. An unattended store lives on this and a product that only handles the till is solving a different problem.
Wash-dry-fold is an order, not a sale
Intake with a weight and a tag, a photograph if you take one, status through washing, drying and folding, a text when it is ready, and payment at pickup that reconciles against the intake. Ask to see one order all the way through, including the case where a customer collects three days late. This is where an attended store's labour cost is decided.
Reporting that tells you which machines pay
Revenue per machine, utilisation by hour, and the water and gas cost you are carrying against it. Ask whether the product shows revenue per machine per day and whether you can export it. A store that knows which dryers are idle at four o'clock can price around it, and that reporting is the difference between a till and a management system.
