Nothing on this page is a market rate. The figures come from the numbers you type into the worksheet and the arithmetic printed next to each answer, and the worked example is there so the page is not blank before you start. Where a page cites a rule or a certification programme, the link goes to the document itself rather than to a summary of it.
A dance studio buys on a different axis from a clinic. The system has to survive registration week, hold families rather than individuals, take tuition on a schedule that is not monthly, and produce a recital costume list that somebody can actually work from. Feature grids from the vendors themselves compare none of that. Compare on your own calendar instead: what has to work in the first week of term, at recital, and on the day a card declines.
Open the EHR software comparison sheet Free to use. No account, no card, no trial clock.
Score the registration week, not the feature list
Ask each vendor to show a parent enrolling two children in four classes, with a sibling discount and a waiver to sign, on a phone. That single flow is most of what your studio actually does with the software and it separates products faster than any grid.
Put tuition and dunning on the sheet as their own rows
Autopay on your own schedule, prorating a mid-term join, and what happens automatically when a card fails. Failed payments are where studio software either saves you an evening a week or costs you one.
Test the year-end jobs before you sign
Costume sizes and orders, recital tickets, and the report your accountant wants in January. These arrive once a year, are never in a demo unless you ask, and are the reason studios switch again eighteen months later.
Check what leaving costs
Ask for a sample export of families, enrolments and payment history before you commit. A studio's records are its business, and a product that will not show you the export now will not improve on the day you want to go.
Ask us whether Pro does it, before you fill in the Dance studio software comparison
If you want to know whether Pro holds something in particular before you start filling anything in, write to us and one of the people who build Siftvo answers by email. We do not put you in touch with a vendor and we do not sell your enquiry.
What an owner asks before filling in the Dance studio software comparison
Do you rank dance studio software? No. We publish no ranking and no score of our own, and no vendor pays to appear here. The sheet scores the systems you are actually looking at against the requirements you weighted.
How many systems should a studio compare? Three is usually enough. The category is small and the products cluster: one built around classes, one around payments and one around the parent app. Pick one of each and score them on your own registration week.
Does free dance studio software exist? There are free tiers, and they are usually capped on students or on payment processing rather than on features. Work out what the cap costs you at your enrolment before treating free as free.
